Changing renewal date for non O retirement visa

My visa renews the 9th of July

Is there a way to reset that date so that it coincides with a date I regularly would be in Thailand?

Example moving the date from July 9 to may 1st

TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot directly change the renewal date of your Non-O retirement visa. However, you can ask your local Thai Immigration Officer for a shorter renewal period during your extension application, or, alternatively, leave Thailand before your renewal date without a re-entry permit. By re-entering the country with a new application for the Non-O visa as a retiree, you can potentially reset your renewal date to a more favorable time in the future.

I just used my January, 2024 passport expiration date to shorten my extension period to 10 months, which moved my visa extension date from March to January, as they will only extend up to your passport expiry date. If your passport expire date and remaining validity are favorable, that may work for you.

No, you'd have to invalidate it by leaving without re-entry permit and plan your next application and extension date from there

Hmmmmmm...๐Ÿค”

1... You can Ask your local Thai Immigration Officer IF they would give you a shorter time when you get your July extension of stay as retired.

2... Proceed with getting the one year extension of stay as planned in July...

3... Prior to May 2024... in February 2024....Leave Thailand WITHOUT a re-entry permit... And reenter Thailand Visa EXEMPT.

4... Start over again with your application for the Non O Visa as retiree and the One year extension of stay as retired.

5... 15 months FROM your new non o visa as retired and the One year extension of stay... Should result in a new yearly renewal date of May each year.

Hopefully I have my timeline okay... I'm sure

option 1 is crafty if they go for it. I didn't think of that
