Hello all,

I currently am on non-o spouse visa due for extension by Jan 31st.

This date falls at the height of the high season so I am restricted in where I can travel as I need to return to complete the extension.

Is there a way of changing the anniversary date to April/May ??

Thank you in advance for your counsel.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about changing the anniversary date of their Non-O spouse visa extension, which is due for renewal by January 31st during the high tourist season. Responses suggest that changing the extension date is not straightforward, indicating that it may require leaving the country and applying for a new visa or visiting a Thai consulate to adjust the extension.

You could just go to the thai consulate in Savannakhet Lao and get a 90 day single entry Non-O based on marriage this month and that'd move the extension date 3 months out to mid / end of april

Thanks again Todd. The second option is basically start process again which makes sense.

yep, that's the easiest thing to do AND Savannakhet is a soft touch consulate on those Non-O visas based on marriage to a thai, 2000baht, no proof of funds, minimal documentation, walk up service, get your passport back the next business day afternoon.

I'd just go get one, come back in on the 90 day stamp and when you have a month left go apply for the new year extension. That'd move the renewal date to where you're needing it to be ๐Ÿ™‚

borders were never affected by these hare brained entry requirements which they have stopped already ๐Ÿ˜› you're fine going out by land to get that Non-O in savannakhet and then comin' back in no issues at all

Sadly there is not ๐Ÿ™

you wanna move the extension date, most times it means

leaving the country without a re-entry permit,

which cancels the extension you're on,

then either getting a new Non-O out of the country

or

comin back in visa exempt and applying for the new Non-O inside the country

after that getting the year extension.

That's the only way I know to move the extension
