Hi, a few general questions. My current 1 year extension of my non-imm O based on retirement and Multi re-entry permit is due to finish on 28 Nov 2018. This is my first annual renewal. Immigration (Kanchanaburi) told me I can apply 30 days before, so I will go along around the end of this month (October).
My question is, when I submit everything is the new extension granted that day or is there a consideration period? If it is approved that day is my next annual expiry 28 November 2019 or do I lose any time by going early? Does the same apply to the new re-entry application? Basically I am going early incase the requirements have changed and they ask for something I don't have. Thanks.
TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for your Non-O visa extension 30 days before your current visa expires. When you submit your application, the extension is typically granted on the same day, meaning you will not lose any time by applying early. The new expiry date will be set for one year from the date you are granted the extension, so it will be 28th November 2019 in your case. This same rule applies to your multi re-entry permit as well.
