Hi. Just got our non-0 retirement for 90 days at Chiang Mai, good until 1 June. I submitted the application on 19 February, approved today 14 March. They said to come back one month before June, and submit the same documents for the 1 year extension. My question is, will we have to go through the same waiting procedure of Visa under consideration for 3+ weeks?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on whether they will experience the same lengthy waiting process for their upcoming 1-year extension of their non-O retirement visa in Chiang Mai, having recently received their initial 90-day visa. Multiple community members confirm that extensions for retirement visas typically do not involve an under-consideration period and can often be approved on the same day of application.

Not in my experience. What you just got was the visa. Everything else from now on is an extension- providing you still have the valid criteria. It was a lot quicker for the first extension.
