Can I apply for a 12-month extension of my Non-O visa in Thailand by myself?
Hello members,
I entered Thailand with 90days Non-O (retirement) this week and have planned to do my first 12-month extension around first week of December at the chaeng wattana.
I have sufficient funds ready in my account since it was opened in 2023 but most of the transaction are from the sources within Thailand (all clean) and I do not have proof to show that they are transferred from outside Thailand.
Can I do the extension application by myself or should I start looking for an agent to help me through the process?

This can be done all by yourself, if you don't already have an second account I would suggest asking for a letter from immigration giving the bank authorisation, then keep the 800 K separate as questions will be asked if the balance dips below. So longs that you have been keeping a minimum of 65,000 baht coming into your account labled funds for Thailand. If you self insure medically, a wellness check at a local hospital 'yearly MOT FOR THE BODY' blood tests can be sought at most clinics and a Vitamin B12 shot can be obtained with a passport. Get to know your immigration office...

For an extension of stay there's no need to show the funds came from outside Thailand. You just need to have the funds in your account for 2 months before you apply for the extension
