TLDR : Answer Summary
A U.S. citizen recently obtained a Non-Immigrant O visa and is seeking recommendations for a reliable agent in Chiang Mai to help with applying for a one-year retirement extension. The conversation reveals that one can directly handle the extension process through the local immigration office, with the suggestion to open a Thai bank account and maintain the required funds. A user recommended Emmy Wenika as a knowledgeable and fair agent, sharing her positive experience with visa-related assistance.

Did you get a Non–O Retirement E–Visa from a Thai Embassy/Thai Consulate outside Thailand or did you get a Non–O Retirement Visa ink Stamp from a local Thai Immigration Office inside Thailand??

if you are not going to use an Agent to get a Retirement Extension of Stay at your local Thai Immigration Office = obtain your 1–Year Extension of Stay yourself, then you need to open a Thai Bank Account and get ฿ 800,000.- Thai Baht ( ฿ 800k Baht) in your Thai Bank Account and have that in your Thai Bank Account for at least 2 months before applying for a Retirement Extension at your local Thai Immigration Office

Emmy Wenika. Can find her here on Facebook. She is honorable, knowledgeable fair priced, efficient and honest. There is no need but if you want you can say I referred you. I am working with her right now in my effort to get LTRV as an upgrade from the retirement visa she previously helped me get. She also helped me get both Thai car and motorcycle drivers licenses

You can contact the immigration office in Chiang Mai for guidance on the extension requirements. Handling it personally might be more efficient than going through an agent. Start with opening a bank account when you arrive.

No , I just got Non immigrant O visa 3 months and I like to apply 1 year extension.

3 months is 90 days. You need a Thai bank account and then deposit 800k baht. You don't need an agent for this. Do you have a place to stay up there?

so you already have the non O, so don't really need an agent, unless there's something you've not mentioned. Extension is 1,900 tb.

Are you talking about a 90 days Non-O based on retirement, or what?

You got a retirement extension already? Why do you need an agent?
