How many passport pages do I need for a Non-O visa extension and can I use my reentry permit immediately after getting it?

Hello,

I have a couple of questions to ask the group.

#1 Iโ€™m down to only two blank pages left on my passport. Can someone in this group confirm how many pages I will need to obtain the yearly extension of stay for my Non-O retirement visa and the multiple reentry stamp?

#2 When I receive the extension and multiple reentry stamps before the original expiration date, can I start using the reentry at that time? I do not have a reentry for the current term.

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has two main questions regarding their Non-O retirement visa in Thailand: how many blank passport pages are needed for the yearly extension and multiple reentry stamp, and whether they can use the reentry permit right after acquiring it. Comments clarify that the number of required pages may depend on the type of passport, with a specific note for American passports. It is confirmed that once obtained, the reentry permit is valid from the date of application until the extension expires, allowing immediate use.

, I should of mentioned USA PP. I see the pages now that you mention that. Actually have 3 pages with the Endorsement/Mentiones on the bottom. Last 2 times through immigration they did use one page for single reentry stamp and arrival stamps? Now I'm down to 2 blank pages. Are you saying I will need a new PP before applying for the extension?

as far as how many pages it takes if they do it right it can be done on one page, the extension and re-entry (which they orient sideways)

They shouldn't have even SOLD you the re-entry OR stamped you in on those pages really ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I'm saying you need to slog on over to your immigration office and see what they say when they see those are the only pages you have left ๐Ÿ˜• They'll either do it or tell you to get a new passport

Right now for US people using the mail in renewal takes about 35-40 days to get both passports back in the mail at your address

, I just renewed my US passport and it took 20 days, door to door and I'm in CM. They do say 5 to 6 weeks, so perhaps I just got lucky

#1 - As long as you're NOT an amercian citizen on an "old style" passport (the one without the hard data page) because the last two pages of those old passports are for endorsements (and immigrations won't stamp extensions on those pages

#2 - Apply for your extension, get it inked in, get a re-entry permit and it's valid from the date you applied for it until your extension expires next year (y) No problem using it right after you got it

This is what the US passport pages that are only for endorsements look like, the bottom image is endorsement pages
