Will I face issues with immigration if my SP visa needs to be transferred to a new passport with only two years left on my current passport?

My passport has about 2 years validity left in it.

If i get a 5 year SP visa and it needs to get transferred to the new passport, will I encounter problems with immigration and proof of enrollment in a course ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about potential immigration issues related to their SP visa when transitioning to a new passport that has about two years of validity left. Comments suggest that it's advisable to obtain a new passport before applying for the DTV (Student Visa) and explain that the SP visa will not transfer; instead, both passports should be carried during travel and for visa-related purposes.

No. Immigration won't even know how you got a DTV unless it says on it.

So with a new passport the DYV doesn't have to be transferred either onto the passport or on their system. On arrival into Thailand then the visa will not match against the new passport being presented.
