Good morning folks, I've got a little question for you unconnected to visas. If I buy an Amazon fire stick here in the UK will it be compatible for use in Thailand to watch British TV? Thanks in anticipation.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among community members is that an Amazon Fire Stick purchased in the UK will work in Thailand for watching British TV. Users suggest loading apps like IviewHD for UK channels and recommend using a VPN, such as Surfshark, to access services like BBC iPlayer and ITV X. Several alternatives were mentioned, including Chromecast and Android boxes with IPTV options. Overall, community feedback highlights the necessity of a VPN for accessing certain UK content while in Thailand.

IDK about AMZ fire stick, but I have a Roku from US. It works perfectly here, but only with a VPN. AMZ Prime Video works also, but only with the VPN.

Yes BUT you'll need to run a vpn to watch. There are other apk's that show channels from around the world some free and some not

pretty much the same. You'll need a VPN on either. Chromecast will have more options. Amazon use their own skin of Google tv

how do you put a VPN on a fire stick, I had a VPN on my tablet that my Chromecast went through but wouldn't connect to any of my apps overseas

there are some available in the app store. Others you can side load if you're technically proficient (or can follow YouTube videos). Some Vpns work better than others. I've been using surfshark for the last few years as I've found it to work pretty well, have an easy enough app and its pretty good value as you can use it on unlimited devices

if you've found it's not helping you may have to look in the settings and actually tell it the apps you want to run through the VPN. I had that exact issue earlier when I thought I had it on for everything

I bought an ASUS router from Tukcom, and set the router up for my Nord VPN. Any connection to the the 2.4 or 5g connections on my Asus router is connecting to the region. The Roku stick is plugged into the TV, it also connects to the VPN. Without the router, I could only connect with computer, tablet or phone with a vpn setting to those apps that needed it.
