Do I need the ThailandPlus app to enter Thailand if it crashes upon launch?
Hello,
I'm supposed to arrive in Bangkok tomorrow from France. I've got all the documents required. However I downloaded the ThailandPlus app and it does not work. When I try to launch it, my phone crashes and I do not get any chance to access the app. Anyone has experienced a similar thing?
What should I do? Can I fly without that app? Is there another way? Or should I buy a new phone just to get a chance to use the app.
Thank you

Answer summary
The user is experiencing issues with the ThailandPlus app crashing on their phone and is concerned about whether they need the app to enter Thailand. The community reassures the user that the app is not mandatory for entry and many travelers have not been asked about it upon arrival. Users suggest alternatives like the MorChana app and recommend not stressing over the issue, as airport staff are likely to assist if needed.

I had same issue, if you have updated the software on your phone then you may need to update the application also, this should sort it out

The app isn't real, it's another one of the bs "safety measures" the Thai government talked about but literally nobody cares about it.

I got here last Friday from uk. I'd downloaded the app but nobody was bothered about it, at the airports or on arrival. Nobody asked anything about the app. Only interested in documentation.

Nope many people have said the same thing on the phuket sandbox group and when i arrived last week, they only asked for mor channa app. As your going to ASQ its different they will advise at airport when you arrive if it is required.
