Do I need the ThailandPlus app to enter Thailand if it crashes upon launch?

Hello,

I'm supposed to arrive in Bangkok tomorrow from France. I've got all the documents required. However I downloaded the ThailandPlus app and it does not work. When I try to launch it, my phone crashes and I do not get any chance to access the app. Anyone has experienced a similar thing?

What should I do? Can I fly without that app? Is there another way? Or should I buy a new phone just to get a chance to use the app.

I had same issue, if you have updated the software on your phone then you may need to update the application also, this should sort it out

The app isn't real, it's another one of the bs "safety measures" the Thai government talked about but literally nobody cares about it.

I got here last Friday from uk. I'd downloaded the app but nobody was bothered about it, at the airports or on arrival. Nobody asked anything about the app. Only interested in documentation.

I flew into Bangkok 5 days ago, and i was worried as Thai Consulate in Canada said i would need it, and they also told me the people at the airport would help me install it if i didn't know how, but they didn't even ask for it

 nope. But they will ask you to download the "MorChana" app and the hotel will scan it every day.

 Nope many people have said the same thing on the phuket sandbox group and when i arrived last week, they only asked for mor channa app.

As your going to ASQ its different they will advise at airport when you arrive if it is required.

 i did ASQ before and didnt require anything but can change, a few friends have come through recently.

One had do to download an app for temperature submission, others nothing.
