My friend was asked to upload flight info before is COE application was PRE-approved. We thought that was strange because there is no field in the application for this besides “documents for further consideration”
We bought his flight and uploaded it to the “further consideration” section.
Can someone help and explain what they mean by “We still have no policy.....”?
Is this because we are doing this too far in advance? My friends flight is in October and we are applying through the NYC embassy.
Thanks in advance
TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry discusses the experience of a person whose friend was instructed to upload flight information before their Certificate of Entry (COE) application was pre-approved, raising questions about the timing and policies behind this request. Comments suggest that applying for a COE too early—particularly for travel scheduled in October—can lead to complications. It is recommended to submit COE applications 1-2 months prior to travel, as policies may change, and COEs are more effective when closely tied to specific flight details.
