Here. Flying out next Wednesday but embassy hasn't approved (final) COE yet. I called yesterday, was asked when is my flight and if I uploaded all the docs. I said yes, submitted Sunday night and flying Wednesday. They just told me to wait for it'll (approval) come through over the weekend and hung up on me. Is this normal? Coming from PH. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is anxious about their upcoming flight to Thailand as their Certificate of Entry (COE) has not been approved yet. They submitted their documents just a few days ago and were advised to wait for approval. Another commenter corroborates by mentioning a similar situation regarding a fiancé's COE. The user later found out they also need an Approval Letter from the Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs due to their Smart Visa status, which complicates their situation as their flight approaches quickly.

Update: no approval yet. I went to the embassy today to follow up. Apparently I need an Approval Letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Thailand coz they can see that I have a Smart Visa (got approval for this after I applied for the CoE - had trouble registering again - long story) Told them my CoE application type is tourist and I'll have my visa stamped when I get to TH instead. Was told to wait even though my flight is 2 days from now. I'm super anxious but don't know what else I can do. Anyone with similar experience?

Was that the embassy in Manila? We're also still waiting on my fiancé's COE, who is also flying to Bangkok on Wednesday.

Very likely. There's only 1 direct flight for PAL on Wednesday. Hopefully CoE comes through over the weekend. 🙏

You did better than me - I tried calling the number on Google for them and got "not connected".

If all goes well, you're probably on the same PAL flight as my fiancée on Wednesday.

Hi James, yep. Manila Embassy. I asked them if it's normal since the site says 3working days for approval and it's been more than that. And I was met with it'll be over the weekend. I'm not sure they work on the weekend. Tried calling today and at no one answers the phone around 3pm.
