My my girlfriend is returning to Thailand from the UK on the 14th of February she has applied for a COE but after nearly two weeks of waiting it’s not yet been granted. When checking on the COE web page it just shows this message, has anyone had a similar problem?

I’ve just had a message from the Thai Embassy saying they’re dealing with January flights at the moment and will be in touch soon. Thanks to everyone who contributed with informative advice

I was the same via Washington embassy. They wait until a few days before departure in case of any issue with airlines cancelling flights

No, you should get pre-approval first, then you’ll have 15 days to upload flights and ASQ

 And for US Citizens who are Visa Except, they should not need to upload a Visa on that second document upload, correct? So the embassy can wait until 2 days before the flight and then my friend will have 2 days only to book ASQ?

 ignore that nobhead mate. I can categorically tell you that COE’s are issued extremely quick so if you have waited this long there is a problem for sure. Email them to ask for an update

Yes write to Thai Embassy, if send message via their Facebook page, I believe so my Thailand fiancé told me they are pretty quick replying...

If she is willing to stay in Free State Quarantine, then she has to wait for new quota approval from Thai government. Free quarantine for Thais traveling from London by Thai Airways is now approved until February 7th.

I asked the Thai Embassy in Madrid about mine earlier today (uploaded the flight and ASQ 6 days ago), and they replied by email: "Normally, if your status shown as under consideration, you can not do anything more just wait. COE will be autorized before flight departure 2 days or some case a day before. Please be patient."

No, you need the Visa first! You even have to upload your visa in the COE application

 My embassy told me I have to make the COE before I can apply for the visa, if the COE will be granted just 2 days before, theres no more time to make the visa, hope that doesnt happen
