I have a question about the COE. I am leaving on the 24th from the USA to BKK. I applied for the COE to the Washington DC embassy on the 5th. It's still pending. I'm starting to get nervous. When I traveled in March I had it in 1 day. Anyone have info or suggestions? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is anxious about their pending Certificate of Entry (COE) application submitted to the Washington DC embassy, as they are scheduled to fly to Bangkok from the USA on the 24th. Despite applying on the 5th, the status remains pending, causing concern since they had received the COE in a day during a previous travel. Comments from the community suggest potential delays due to an influx of applications, recommend that the user check for pre-approval, and propose contacting the embassy via their responsive Facebook account for assistance.

They will wait until it's about 3-5 days away usually.

.. last time I had it in 1 day. Long before I left.

that was before the embassies/consulates has to re-issue hundreds or thousands of CoEs because they changed the quarantine period so now they wait until just before you leave so they don't get hurt by that again.

... well I wish they would at least say everything is approved but the coe won't be issued until later. My quarantine goes until Nov 2. Now I'm wondering if I can get out on the 1st. Last time I traveled the quarantine went from 15 days to 7. They wouldn't let me out the couple of days earlier.

Did you get pre approval yet? You have plenty of time.
