I have a question about when to apply for a 60day visa. I am arriving in Thailand on Feb 12th. I have applied and received my evisa . It says to use it by Feb 27th. Does that mean it is no good after that or I have to arrive before that date?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The eVisa must be used to enter Thailand on or before February 27th. After entering, you will receive a 60-day stamp for your stay, with the option to apply for a 30-day extension. Once the eVisa is activated by entering Thailand, it cannot be re-used; it is designed for a single entry.

does the 60 day work the same way as the 90 day multi entry ie as in buy a re entry fly out then back before expiry and get stamped for 60 days again

No the Single-entry Tourist Visa is just that, one 60 day entry stamp (if you have a Visa in your passpoert it gets stamped USED). If you purchase a re-entry permit and re-enter before your current stay until date you will be stamped back in with that same stay until date, not another 60 days.

arrive by that date.......when you receive the visa, you are given a 90-day window to use the country. Once you enter Thailand, you are free to do whatever you wish for the 60 days ๐Ÿ™‚

print your e visa out and give it to the IO on arrival and make sure your stamped in for 60 days in which you can extend for 30 more days at a immigration office for 1900 baht

you are welcome. Just make sure that when you arrive at Passport Control, the IO stamps the correct exit date in your passport. IE they do not note you have a visa and only give you a 30 day visa exempt stamp. It is your responsibility to check the correct date before you leave the desk. Keep in mind that your day of arrival counts as day 1, so technically you only have another 59 days stamped into your passport.

I assume that you have a Thai tourist visa which gives me 60 days STAMP on arrival into Thailand and you can apply for a ONE TIME 30 day extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

The visa must be USED by entering Thailand on or before the February 27th date specified on the Evisa .
