Hey everyone, if you arrive on a 30 day tourist visa but have applied for an E-visa(tourist 60 days) 4 weeks ago and still haven’t arrived, will the e visa be ok to use once approved?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you arrive in Thailand on a 30-day tourist visa and have also applied for a 60-day E-visa, that E-visa cannot be activated while you are inside Thailand. It remains valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, during which you can exit and re-enter Thailand to obtain the 60-day visa stamp. Many users shared their experiences with E-visa processing times, emphasizing that the visa is typically issued closer to the departure date, causing some to suggest early application to avoid delays.

Check your Spam box ??20+ working days is to long

No it is not, when the departure date is far into the future.

When processed is depending on deperturedate, not date applyed.

Can apply 3 month before departure, but then you may have to wait 2 ½ month to get the touristvisa.

Not my experience applying a few times through London for a 60 day visa. Even applying a couple of months ahead, approved within 10 days.

I once got mine while in Narita awaiting my final flight.

When are you travelling ?

To the benefit of the traveller, they proces tourist visa by departure date (NOT date applyed ), so you get the visa 1-2 weeks before departure.

You cannot activate a tourist visa inside the country. Your visa will be valid for 90 days from the day it's issued. You have those 90 days to leave Thailand and return and get your 60 day tourist visa stamp.
