Sorry if this has been already asked. But I’m looking to go next year for 2 months. How far in advance can I apply for the 60 day tourist visa.

Eg can I apply now but use it in January next year?

Answer summary

You can apply for a 60-day tourist visa for Thailand up to 90 days in advance. However, the visa must be used to enter the country within 90 days from the date it was issued. Alternatively, if you're not planning an extended stay, you can enter Thailand without a visa and receive a 30-day stamp upon arrival, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at an Immigration Office for a fee.

You do not need a tourist visa. Come without a visa and your will get stamped in for 30 days. You can extend that for an additional 30 days at the Immigration office for 1,900 Thai Baht.
