Hi, maybe a silly question but I just want to double check my understanding.

Just received my 60 day tourist visa.

It says use by 16th March.

My understanding is it’s the last date I can enter the country on that visa?

I am planning to go 23rd Jan - 21st March.

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'use by' date on your 60-day tourist visa refers to the last date you can enter Thailand using that visa. Once you enter the country by that date, you will then be allowed to stay for 60 days from the date of entry.

The last day you can enter Thailand while using your visa will be that date. Once you enter you'll be stamped in for 60 days.

just wondering we are advised to applying for visa no more than 2 months before going. You stated that once I entered Thailand the length of the Visa would start then. Example i apply to go in April for 60 day. I landed on April 28. I am good for 60 days. Thanks for your help

yes it's 60 days with the tourist visa regardless of when you arrive. The visa itself will be valid for 90 days from the day the embassy issues it.
