TLDR : Answer Summary
If your husband secures a teaching position in Bangkok, you will need a Non-O visa as his dependent. This process typically requires your husband's employer to assist you. They should coordinate the necessary documentation and procedures for both his Non-B visa (the work visa) and your Non-O visa. It's advisable to check with your local immigration office or consulate for specific requirements and to ensure all steps are completed correctly. Generally, reputable schools have coordinators who manage these visa applications.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.

Don't listen to the idiots saying it will break your marriage. Any marriage that is a good marriage isn't broken here. If it breaks, it was broken long ago and they were looking for an excuse. Hubby and I have been here the last year, though not in Bangkok, as it doesn't suit either of us. (too busy too much traffic etc) The best way is to talk to the HR department at the school he will be teaching at to find out which visa will suit you or look at the immigration site. It's hard to answer the question as there isn't enough to go on IE age, finacial staus, if you plan on working etc.
it depends on how long you plan on staying in Thailand. You can enter as visa exempt for 30 days from the states. (You can visit immigration and apply for an extension of another 30 days for 1900 baht [$52.72 USD])
Anything longer will need a visa - please see the link below.
we all know why. These Thai girls are hot and will be willing to hook up with an average farang for a better life. My buddy married for 20 years is getting a divorce.

Non-O, trailing spouse visa. Your husband's employer should arrange this for you.
he has applied to 10 of the international schools in Bangkok, so we shall see if he gets accepted for any of them

Just between us, if I were you, I would threatened him with divorce, if he takes the job. First, he's getting paid way less and any income you make in Thailand will not contribute toward retirement. 2nd, you are going to compete with all the hot young Thai girls or ladyboys in their 20s. The likelihood of him cheating on you will be 110%. Third, the air quality sucks and you are not living in paradise. I am just keeping it real with you. Don't want you to be in a nasty divorce. So don't say we didn't warn you. You will be playing defense your whole entire time here. So threaten him with divorce if he takes the job.

Why some comments negative and why can a respectable man just go out there to get a job, not go out there to cheat on his wife
*It's FB, that's why. Can't help you with visa situation, sorry. We've been getting OA visas for the last 6 yrs. but ours expires next month, and we'll not get another OA.
my buddy that has been married for over 20 years with 2 kids cheat on his wife every weekend. Now he is back in the states filing for a divorce. I am just warning you. You will be playing defense every day.
just to put it out there. This was my idea not his. I’ve been with him for 15 years the likeliness of him cheating. I think I’m probably more than likely the one who’s going to go off with the lady and the lady boy not him. 🤣🤣🤣

Any school worth their salt will have a visa coordinator who will do all the legwork for your husband's visa and yours. Personally, I would turn down an offer from a school that didn't provide this service!
Not in Thailand. Bangkok is the city that never sleeps. Great international restaurants, imported beer easy to get, great expat pubs showing sports, fabulous western live music, great transport network. It's a playground. I couldn't live anywhere else!
sorry I responded only to the part "school will help with the visa process" and missed that you replied to the remainder instead. Of course they'll be getting her here on non-O.

Once your husband is on a long term visa (A Non B for working here) you can apply for a Non O as a dependent off that visa. It will require cooperation from his employer and you’d need to check with your local immigration office about their required procedures. It may require you to visit a nearby consulate to get the initial Non O and then align with his Non B. Different offices have different policies so you’d have to check with yours.
