Good morning guys

On Tuesday I have to go to my 90 days report (was expired on 27th but Immigration is closed until Tuesday) and the extention for my ED-Visa

My apartment's owner already applied for the TM30 but they not did not approved yet after 20 days.

My school suggest me to go there with the screenshot of the application and status of my landlord submission

Anyone experienced something like that?

Another thing: I see that someone started a on line petition to require a reform of Thai immigration

I think is a small step but is better then only complain and do nothing at all...

Before post it I would like to know the opinion of wise Tod Daniels and you all that everytime have a posivite and collaborative advices

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing for a 90-day report and an ED visa extension, noting that their landlord has applied for a TM30 that hasn't yet been approved. They are considering bringing documentation of the application to immigration. They also mention an online petition for immigration reform and seek advice from the community.

@T**
, does an expat who travels all the time need the TM30 presented at the airport everytime?

The airports and land border crossings do NOT care if someone filed a TM30 (or did a 90 day report) AT ALL. It's not their deal. They stamp you in and out of the country period.

Is Immigration in Bangkok closed tomorrow, the 29th?

Wonderful-Wonderful at CW-BKK Immigration. Thank the heavens above, I don't have to report there.

surprisingly it's not as bad as it sounds. You need the documentation they require, but it's pretty well run.

Especially seeing as I'd say they process in a single day what most smaller offices process in a week.

@Val****
, do your TM30 first, because you will be asked for it when you do your ED extension and might be asked for it when you do your 90 day report too.

DO NOT let them take the original TM30 receipt from you. Make a copy for them. Some officers were taking the receipt from the people and that messes you up later on :/

Thank you so much Tod for your always precious sdvices

Do you want to take a look to the petition mentioned?

Just so you know.

IF you're going out there (even if you're there at 5AM in line) and are trying to file a TM30, do a 90 day report AND get your ED visa extended because you need to get queue tickets for 3 different sections (Section A for your 90 day report, Section B for your TM30, and Section N-1 for your ED visa) you will be there for many hours getting it all done.

Just resign yourself to that fact and you will be okay.

Also keep in mind that Tuesday will be a CRAZY busy day because they are closed Monday. :O

I sadly know... And I think I will do in just one day, because is anyway more convenient to go 2 times...

There are two things that can happen.

1 - when you apply for your extension of stay you will NOT get the extension but instead get a 30 day under consideration stamp that gives you (or your land lord) 30 days to file a TM30 then you take the receipt back to the ED visa section and they will give you the rest of your extension free

OR

You take a copy of your lease, copies of your passport and a filled out TM30 and YOU file it yourself (you WILL get fined 800 baht)

This post tells you how to self file a TM30 without any documents from your land lord. FOLLOW it ;)

Unfortunately (for you :( ) your land lord did NOT file a TM30 for you all they did was apply to get a log in to USE the system and begin filing TM30's for the tenants. :O
