Hi everyone, I am currently on a 60 day tourist visa and I need to do a 30 day extension. I am currently living in a small local apartment in countryside. The man who leased me the apartment is very old and didn’t give me any papers or anything. He doesn’t speak English at all and can not use technology. Any advice on how I can make him fill out a TM30 application? And where can I get these papers? Thank you very much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user on a Q&A site is seeking advice on how to handle the TM30 address registration with their elderly landlord, who doesn't provide any documentation and is not proficient in English. Several commenters suggest options such as staying a night at a hotel to obtain the TM30 form, personally reporting the address, or registering online if the landlord cooperates. Some experiences shared point out the challenges of working with uncooperative landlords and suggest using an agent to facilitate the process.

I have almost exactly the same problem as my landlord never completes my TM30. I used and agent and it cost 1500THB, money well spent as it meant I didn’t have to go to immigration either.

You can file a TM30 yourself at Chiang Mai Immigration - need a copy of his tabien baan, lease/rental agreement and a form. If the address is already on file, only the rental agreement and form. Source - I've done both ways before.

Register yourself in the Tm30 website & you can add your own address in.

I done it in Chiang Mai, as the hotels wifi was playing up & they couldn’t log in

You can go in and change it as many times as you need to.

@Shaun *******
you must be the owner of the property to register on the TM30 system.

you only need the company certificate to register yourself at a hotel, which is displayed in the front counter of nearly every hotel ….its really not that hard

Register yourself & off you go 👍

@Sh***
how did you register yourself if you’re not the owner of the property? I looked at doing it myself and it requires all the ownership paperwork?

@Simon *********
it gives you the option to complete the TM30 as a foreigner on-line, but it seems you need your landlord's cooperation, by giving you the required documents, if some are saying they just did it themselves, I also would like to know how.

in this instance it is my partners house, so uploaded the blue book & her id.

I’ve not tried to do a hotel or other accommodation.

They all have their business registration on display, so I can’t imagine it would be that hard to snap a pic & upload it…if needed.

@Sh***
yeah if you have the bluebook and owner’s id it would be easy!

you register yourself with your passport and upload your passport to identify yourself & you can name to proceeded to enter the dates and location of where you are staying under your account..

Here is the address of my partner I entered & within an hour I got an email stating it was ‘approved’.

I assume you need to upload all the required documents??

1. Business license or signed copy business registration confirmation.

2. Letter of authorization to conduct the registration.

3. Copy of ID card of person giving authorization person.

It seems many landlords are uncooperative, so many can't do it for themselves.

no you don’t, I’ve just done mine 3 days ago, you can add the address or hotel, home stay or wherever you are staying.

Spend a night at a hotel…easy peasy. You need to go to immigration anyway, so choose one nearby. That way, you can be at immigration first thing in the morning too.
Darren *******
Go and report your address yourself it's so easy to do it
Brandon ************
You might be better off staying a night at a hotel and asking them for a copy of TM30.

Agreed. Do this, it's much simpler and easier.
