What procedures should we follow if my husband, who is on an O visa, needs to leave Thailand without me?

My husband is here on an O visa and may have to leave the country without me to go to Indonesia last minute. We were told that there is some kind of process we need to follow and possible penalty during this waiting period? Sorry if I'm not clear but I don't have all the information myself. Does anyone know how it works? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the process and implications of a visa holder, specifically on an O visa, exiting Thailand while their spouse is not traveling. Key points included the importance of understanding the distinction between types of visas and extensions, the necessity of having a Re-Entry Permit, and the clarity of the current immigration status for both individuals. Participants also emphasized the need to verify passport stamps and extensions to avoid penalties.

This post highlights the need for people to try to use correct terminology if they can.

We now know that the O/P is no longer on ANY visa :O and instead on a yearly extension of stay based on employment

AND

their spouse is not on a visa either but on a matching yearly extension based on being married to someone who legally works here.

This means IF they have a valid re-entry permit in their passports (which looks like the image Robert posted) they can indeed exit /re-enter thailand and will get stamped in until Oct 2019 when they return

They don't tear out old pages of your passport. So it is clear now you are on an Extension of Stay vaild until October 2019. If your Re-Entry Permit has the word MULTIPLE under Number of Entries your are free to go and come back into Thailand and you will on every entry get the same date as the Extension of Stay is permitted up to ../../.. (october 2019)

I think we are misinterpreting a notice that my employer put on our passports. To the best of your knowledge, are we free to leave Thailand for a short period?

I posted a picture of the diference between a visa and an Extension of Stay, look in your passport and at that picture, which one is similar.

that visa you came in on should have been for only 90 days and after that you would have gotten an extension of stay stamp from the immigration office AND your husband would have gotten a matching extension of stay stamp based on being married to someone who legally works here.

I guess it's confusing because in my passport it looks like I had both. The visa I came in on (which I understand is not a work visa) and the one year extension until October 2019

Perhaps you have an Extension of Stay - one year?

Check your passports again, you can NOT have a Non Immigrant B visa and do 90 day report, with the Visa you leave the country every 90 days.

Thank you everyone, and sorry that I have not been clear. I have a non immigrant B and we all have the re-entry permit in our passport as shown. It was issued on 3 of September but we have some check in on the 13th December (next 90 days it said)

Working visa does not exist. You applied for a multiple entry, does this mean you applied for the Extension of Stay at Immigration Office? Take a look at your passports to see the difference:

Where is here? Thai Immigration or at a Thai Embassy or Consulate?

I am here on a working visa, and he is my dependent. We have been to immigration and have paid for the multiple entry. I guess I'm not sure if we are in the waiting period or not. Could someone briefly explain to me how the waiting period works? Thanks

Is he on a Visa, or is he on a waiting period? Without clear information we can only start guessing what you like to hear.
