So my non o is based on spouse to farang non b holder. When it comes to renewing in february next year, we will be going to Penang to do. But we need to do seperately so we can keep business open.
So if my husband goes to penang first and gets his Non b multi entry, can i then go when he comes back with all the paperwork needed or does he need to be with me to get my visa? I will be using an agent in penang so will not be going to embassy myself.
TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the process of renewing a Non-O visa for a spouse of a Non-B visa holder in Thailand. The poster plans to go to the Thai consulate in Penang separately from their spouse to manage their business. Various comments clarify that they can proceed as planned as long as proper documentation is in order. It is noted that renewal does not technically happen, but a new visa is applied for. There are also mentions of eligibility for work permits and using an agent to assist with the visa process.

You're NOT going to "renew anything in Penang" you'd be going to the thai consulate to BUY completely NEW visas. Keep in mind they now only issue year long multi-entry Non-B visas to someone listed as the director of the company on the work permit.
There shouldn't be a problem for him to go, get his Non-B from them, then a week later you show up and get your Non-O based on being the spouse of someone on a Non-B that works here. You'd have to have ALL the documentation from him that you used last year in order (seeing as he's NOT there to provide paperwork if you need something) but it should work
You can't legally work at ALL (as in you can't even get a work permit to be allowed to work) on a Non-O based on being the "trailing spouse" of someone that has a valid Non-B and a work permit so the point is actually moot. :/
If that is the case I stand corrected and think you shouldn't have a problem as long as your documentation is all in order for the visa you're applying for (y)
Yeah, as its high season and we are a new business we dont want to leave it for 3 days whilst we go to do visa, so if we can do seperately it means one of us is here to look after the business
