Can my husband apply for a re-entry permit on a Non-O 90-day visa if he leaves before 60 days?

Hello and thank you in advance for your help. We arrived on a Non-0 90 day single entry visa based on retirement. We have opened bank accounts in order to season the money and apply for the 1 year extension. Unfortunately my husband has to leave the country for a week prior to his 60 days being up. Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for a re-entry permit or does he have to start the whole process over again (apply for a second Non-0) Again many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about their husband leaving Thailand for a week before his 60-day limit on a Non-O 90-day visa for retirement, and whether he can apply for a re-entry permit without having to reapply for a new visa. Responses confirmed that a re-entry permit is possible and would allow him to return without starting the visa process over, provided he returns before the 90 days expire.

He can buy a re entry permit but must return before his current 90 days expire or he'll have to start again

He can buy a re-entry on his single Non-O 90 days so he don´t have to start all over. But he only have the remaining days left on his first arrival on the Non O.

I am told that it is possible to get the 90 day retirement visa, leave with re-entry permit an return, then get the 1 year extension. This is my plan, in fact. But I have not done it yet.

What 60 days?

sorry the 60 days for the bank account. The non-o was granted outside of Thailand but now he has to leave midway through for a week. Assume we have to start the whole process of non-o over?

Money has to be in the bank for 60 days prior to applying for a yearly extension.

yes thanks i understand that. What I am asking (not very well) is if he has to leave the country - we are on the Non-O 90 day visa (retirement) prior to the 90 days is it possible to get a re-entry stamp or does he have to reapply an start the Non-O again?

Sorry, yes he can get a reentry stamp at the airport. Actually any visa or extension is eligible for reentry permits.
