TLDR : Answer Summary
For UK passport holders seeking a 90-day visa for Thailand, several effective methods include applying online through the Thai e-Visa website (thaievisa.go.th) or obtaining a 60-day tourist visa online, which can be extended by an additional 30 days while in Thailand. Users recommend applying at least a month before departure for timely processing and suggest contacting the London Thai Embassy for a smoother experience. Utilizing a visa agency for visa extensions is also advised for convenience. Others caution about the non-refundable nature of visa applications, emphasizing the importance of double-checking all submitted information.

Please note that it is no longer required for applicants to submit his/her passport and original supporting documents in person or by post at the Royal Thai Embassy, London. All payments are non-refundable, therefore please double check all information and especially spelling of names, e-mails and passport numbers since the Embassy would not be able to edit once you have made payments. All applicants will have to take their own responsibility on any error made on information submitted in the e-Visa application, which the Embassy will have to reject and as mentioned "non-refundable" and applicants will have to submit a new application. So please double check all your information and spellings of your personal information to "save time and money".
After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to applicants. Therefore, please double check your e-mail account you submitted to avoid any error and delays in processing your visa. It is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation e-mail to present to the airline and the Thai immigration officials to check when travelling to Thailand.
Please apply in advance and allow 5-15 working days for the Embassy to proceed. And please allow time for officers to request further documents, if necessary.
If you wish to contact the Embassy for urgent inquiries regarding visa applications, please send an email to

London Thai Embassy is the most efficient and user friendly in all the embassies worldwide.
Follow the instructions on the website if you think any of the questions are not relevant just put your passport number in the section this will allow you to go to the next question/requirement.
They email you straight away if they need anything additional to what you have supplied
Took me 3 working days to receive mine 60 day tourist visa and then extended it at any immigration office for another 30 days cost 1900 baht (£43.00)
Only suggestion is enter Thailand on the 30 day exemption visa and use a visa agency to get you through the process of extending you visa while your here.
The cost is minimal and they do the legwork 👍
