TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen visiting Thailand for 90 days can consider two primary options: 1) Obtain a 60-day tourist visa plus a 30-day extension once in Thailand, or 2) Utilize a 45-day visa exemption upon entry and then do a border run to re-enter for another 45 days. The London embassy website serves as a resource for current visa requirements, but some visitors find it challenging to navigate due to its complexity. It's recommended to email the Thai embassy for clarification on specific visa requirements.

FFS give this man a break, The London embassy website is a mess and not easy to navigate with poor English and conflicting info., especially if you are a newbie. The evisa website is also far from straightforward often demanding non-applicable documents be uploaded before progressing an application. (This requires uploading blank sheets of paper with N/A written on them). I advise anyone applying for a visa to politely email the embassy:

asking for the latest info. on their particular visa requirements. They are very helpful and usually reply within a few days with clear concise info. that you can follow and print/download. You then have a record of the info. provided should anything go wrong.

2 easy options.

1. 60 day tourist visa then a 30 day extention once in thailand.

2. 45 passport visa exemption and do a border run and come back for another 45 days.

Nope
@Didrik ********
. You also get 45 days visa exempt by landborder. Only restriction is that you may do that only twice per calender year.

@Stewart *********
Don't you get 30 days extension on the 45 days you get at the airport?
Didrik *********
You might be right about that, but I am almost sure, that you need to reenter by plane.

But if you already have a 45 days, then you don't have to leave to get an additional 30 days, you will get it at the immigration office for 1.900 bath.

You get 45 days visa exempt entry by air and land border before the end of March

I thought if you leave the country and come back in you get another 45 days due to your passport. I could be wrong but hopefully someone who knows fir sure will correct me

How does he know the website is not that good when he's the only one "struggling" to apply, and then has to ask his brother to ask on social media?

How about a Google search "Thailand tourist visa UK Embassy"?
