What is the quickest way to obtain a 60-day tourist visa for Thailand (that I can extend for additional 30 days once in Thailand)? I live in UK [but 4 hours drive from London embassy].

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 60-day tourist visa for Thailand quickly while residing in the UK, you should apply online through the Thai embassy's website, as visas are now issued digitally. The process typically takes a few days, and if approved, you will receive the visa via email, which you can then print out. Additionally, after receiving your visa, you will need to apply for the Thailand Pass. Users have reported turnaround times as short as four days.

I did a 60-day TR e-visa on Sunday and I got it back today so a 4 day turnaround
, that's great! Do you need to *upload* proof of flights to Thailand PLUS onward travel out of Thailand with the Tourist e-visa aplication? And are you asked to also *upload* evidence of guesthouse booking (we are staying in a private house so we don't have official booking confirmation - only the address)

Hi Alexandra ,
I had to upload my flight itinerary, accommodation stay all have to be shown as paid for, then passport and driving licence details.
As of Oct 1st, visas are now issued digitally. Go to the Thai embassies website in the UK and apply online. Should take a few days, they'll email you the visa. Print it out and take the paper with you.
You also will need to apply for the Thailand pass after you get the visa.

Hi Garrett, thank you... I have a couple more questions: - do I need to physically post my passport and other required docs) to the London Embassy or do they just accept uploaded digital copies of everything? Also, are you saying that can't APPLY for the Thailand Pass UNTIL I have an email copy of the Tourist vIsa?
No, don't have to post anything it's all electronic now.
I mean you can apply for the TP if you're entering visa exempt. If you have a visa it asks for the visa number, guess it wouldn't matter if you applied visa exempt and just arrived with a visa.
do you need to have your flight showing your exit from Thailand on day 60 booked and show evidence for this booking WHEN you apply online for the 60 day Tourist visa?
