Hi I fly from England in 10 days for 6 weeks. With a UK passport will I be able to get the 30 day extension ok ? Was hoping the 45 days was gonna be extended but hasn’t. Or maybe if I go to the London Thai embassy they can give me a 60 day visa

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers with a UK passport can enter Thailand without a visa for 30 days and can apply for a 30-day extension at an immigration office while in Thailand. Alternatively, obtaining a 60-day tourist visa via the London Thai embassy's eVisa system is recommended for those preferring to avoid office visits. Several users shared their positive experiences with both the extension process and obtaining an eVisa.

Mark. I’ve just come back to uk. Been for 75 days. 2 nd day there I got my 30 days added. Was very easy. Print form off the internet. Fill in. 2 passport pics. Passport. Evidence of residency. 1900 baht . Was in and out in 45 mins. Passport stamped !

That was phuket. May be different in other offices? Just sharing my experience 👍 best of luck.

indeed. Phuket immigration in phuket center is easy. 30 mins in an out. Even if you don't have the paperwork. Just fill it in there.

Nongkhai immigration: 10 mins

Udon Thani immigration: 30 mins

Kanchanaburi: 45 mins

Ratchaburi: 2 mins 😁😁

Been testing different ones in the last 15 years just to see where's the easiest.

Yes, you can do it online, quite easy

going to the immigration is a pain in the ass and costly, either do an e-visa or if you will stay close to a land border cross to a neighbouring country at the end of your visa and come back to get 30 days again.

you need to do an e visa to get the 60 day visa? Does it apply for other nationalities? And you can extend it another 30 days once in the country?

45 days extension finished on 31st March! I just got mine! Extension at immigration if I was you or pay extra and do the border run !

like 1850 or something...? But for example in Pattaya you loose like 2 days on top of that queuing at immigration and organizing insane paperwork ! At least this happened to a friend of mine back in January, might be bit more quiet now. So e-visa is certainly much more convenient.

1,900 / extenuation> ( 30 days on visa exempt or tourist visa, 60 days ( if married) 365 days if over 50 or extending on a non o or B visa

You don’t go to the embassy you apply online, should only take 3 days to receive it by email and you print it and keep it with your passport.

it takes 3 days to get the 60 day visa? Does it apply for other nationalities as well just 3 days? And you can extend it another 30 days once in the country?

@Sarah ******
I only know about applying at the uk embassy, I don’t know how long it takes in other countries but yea you can extend for 30 days

You can either arrive with no visa and get stamped in for 30 days, and then go to the immigration office once you're here and apply for a 30 day extension.

Or you can apply for a tourist visa through the evisa system. The London embassy is known to be very fast and you should receive your visa in email within 2-3 business days after applying. Then you won't have to worry about going to the immigration office while you're here.

since you’re married to a Thai you’re able to get a 30 day than then a 60 day extension based on married to a Thai. So you’d be able to have 120 days here worry free. Each extension is 1900 baht.
