Hi everyone, I have a friend in the UK applying for a tourist visa and she would like a multiple entry. They ask for proof of a reason to enter the country on multiple times. What would she need to prove that? Thanks 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice for a friend in the UK applying for a multiple entry tourist visa to Thailand. To support her application, suggestions include providing round-trip flight tickets, stating the intention to travel around Southeast Asia with Thailand as a base, and noting that detailed reasons are typically not required for such visa applications.

Wonder why they chose now when the country is begging for tourists to ask such stupid questions. It's like they don't want people. 10 years ago a 6 month tourist visa in the UK cost 30 pounds no questions asked from the local consulate

Just say travelling around asia cambodia, vietnam etc but will start and finish in thailand. Never heard them ask for detailed reason before

totally agree. Travelling SE Asia plan to use Thailand as a hub and plan to exit and re-enter the country.

My understanding is that unless they are travelling back in more than 4 times then why bother. A multiple will cost just under 4k whether you use it or not whereas a single entry will cost 1k each time.

you’re possibly confused with the charge for a reentry permit. Nothing to do with the actual visa you are applying for.

correct, I thought they were talking about reentry.

Brian You can get 9 months out of a METV. SETV only 90 days.

Just write "looking to travel multiple times."

Not actually sure on the answer to that. Perhaps a ticket out of Thailand and a ticket back in within the 6 months validity of the visa would suffice.
