Hello, i want to ask for Multi entry Tourist Visa. In the e-visa form they say that i should provide a genuine reason for asking the multi entry, if not they will give me only the single entry without any refund.

My reason is that i'd like the travel all the south east asia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, i'm a digital nomad and i'm for now just like to live some months in thailand and visit multiple areas.

Is this a valid reason in your opinion? I just want to avoid to waste my money

p.s. I didn't ask for the long term visa because the elite visa is too expensive, i read also about a digital nomad visa but i don't make the minimum money required to ask it (80K$)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the validity of their reason for applying for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa for Thailand as a digital nomad. They plan to travel frequently within Southeast Asia and prefer this visa over a more expensive long-term option. Comments suggest providing proof of travel intentions such as multiple plane tickets to justify the visa request, while also warning against disclosing their status as a digital nomad due to potential visa complications.

You should absolutely leave out the digital nomad part!! It's okay to work remote because Thailand's laws on that matter are from before the existence of internet and not very suited to remote work, leaving you with no realistic options but you just do it and stay low. But that is then indeed required: stay low. You can't then tell a government agency that this is your plan. They could refuse the visa or perhaps even flag you as intending to work illegally.

And then further: do you really need a multiple entry tourist visa in your case? You can enter visa exempt, you can get a single entry tourist visa for a longer time to start off with. Considering the cost and the hassle of having to book so many redundant flight tickets, I'd first check carefully if you really need this visa.

You keep asking this everywhere

Whatever you do, don't say you're a digital nomad. You'll be refused, as it's illegal to work in Thailand on a tourist visa!

Practice varies, some embassies demand two inbound and two outbound tickets, some just accept a single inbound and outbound ticket.

You're overthinking it.

You justify it by uploading 3 plane tickets.

1) flight from where you are applying to Thailand

2) flight from Thailand to another country within 60 days

3) flight back to Thailand

You've now shown you need to enter Thailand more than once.

If you only upload a single flight into Thailand, that's when they might issue a single entry visa because you've only shown one entry to Thailand.
