Hi - Struggling to get through to the London Thai Embassy via phone today. I am applying for a multi entry tourist visa. Do I need proof I am flying back to the UK within 60 days of arrival or just proof that I will be leaving Thailand within 60 days and maybe flying to say Cambodia for example)?

Answer summary

When applying for a Multi Entry Tourist Visa to Thailand, you need to provide proof that you will be leaving Thailand within 60 days of arrival. This does not necessarily have to be a return flight to the UK; as long as you have a ticket showing you will leave Thailand (to another destination like Cambodia, for example), it suffices. Some commenters noted that you don't need to present proof of onward flights every 60 days if your visa is valid for a longer period.

We got our METV from Hull. As long as you have a return or onward flight within 8 months you don’t need to show other flights out every 60 days.

Katherine Staniforth you don't get a 1 year Non-Imm-O multi entry in London anymore, only a 90-days Non-Imm-O single entry. However you can get a 6 month multi entry tourist visa

As long as you show you're leaving Thailand, doesn't matter where you're going
