TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, foreign nationals, including those on a DTV visa, are required to report their residence to immigration every 90 days. Initially, the report must be made in person at an Immigration Office with proof of residence, after which subsequent reports can be done online. Additionally, a TM30 form must be filed within 24 hours of arrival, although this is typically the responsibility of the landlord or hotel. Understanding and adhering to these requirements is crucial to avoid potential fines.
It is infamous (as in a bit of a pain in the arse, and a bit silly buy typical Thai bureaucracy in action) but pretty straightforward process. It will not have been on your visa documentation as it is not vis specific - it applies to any foreigner staying in Thailand for 90 day or more and has to be done at least every 90 days you are there. You have to go to an IO (Immigration Office) with your passport and some evidence of where you are staying (rent agreement etc - but IO's can vary a little in what docs they actually require so worth visiting to get their specific reqs ahead). You will then get a little slip of paper that they staple to you passport, and you keep that there until your next 90 days. After you have done your first one, you can do later ones online. There is another process called TM30 which is where your residence is reported to Immigration upon your arrival (has to be done within 24 hrs - at least in theory). This is supposed to be a landlord's responsibility, but whilst hotels and large resorts almost always do it, smaller resorts, individual lettings and AirBnB places generally do not, and I am afraid, as unfair as it sounds some of them simply won't do it and you have to do it instead as all the IO's will refuse to do any process for you unless you have an up to date TM30. I am happy to help advise you on any of this if you want any more info or guidance - just DM me.

There is nothing written about the DTV needing a 90 day report, its a 180 day multi entry visa, I've read this, but there is nothing from the authorities to suggest it.
so if it's not documented or mentioned at point of application and your not aware of that law, how would someone know about the reporting! I haven't read anyone who has obtained one say that they have been told to report. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Guess it humours some.
was maybe harsh to phrase it like that from me sorry about that. Just make sure to get all the informations so you’re not running into fines. Next hassle would be for DTV people that stay more then 180 days a year as they classify as tax residence then and then the real chaos begins.
Why are people who are applying for a DYV so scared of doing a 90 day report. (0 day report are harmless and are either done online or walk in walk out in a immigration office.
I don’t understand it too.. they should be more scared about getting tax residency when they stay longer than 180 days a year. It’s just a report where you are like in any other country 🤣

You must file a TM30 with Immigration within 24hrs of arrival in Thailand. Then every continual stay of 90 days requires you to file a TM47.
is it have to be exactly within 24 hours of arrival? I have never heard anything from the IO or anyone asking me or reminding to do it. Is it ok to do it later than 24 hours and how does one do it?
the law states you must be registered within 24hrs of arrival at the property or the property owner will be subject to a fine of 800-1600baht. All the info regarding the TM30 procedure is readily available online.
technically correct but you will be the one fined when you next deal with Immigration so really it’s your responsibility to make sure the TM30 is filed either by yourself, the landlord or the hotel.

Super simple. Go to immigration, fill out the form, get a slip of paper to prove it's done.

It's normal on almost all visas that you have to report to immigration every 90 consecutive days that you are inside Thailand. If you leave Thailand part way into the 90 days it is reset and you start counting again from the day you reenter the country

I hawe a non imig 0 and need to visite imigration ewery 3 mnth
If you have a non-imm O you have to go to Immigration after say 2,5 months to apply for extended stay. After that the first time you do your 90 day report, the nest ones can be done electronically. Might be the same for DTV?
