[NON-O SPOUSAL VISA]

Hi! I have a question, I cannot find info anywhere because everywhere there is only a case of Thai spouse.

My wife (not Thai) works as a teacher and has 3-months Non-B visa. I have Non-O visa as her spouse. Now we want to do one year extensions. She will have all the documents needed from her school. What do I need?

When we applied for our visas in Vientiane, I had marriage certificate, my wife’s employment contract and letter from her company stating it’s okay for me to get Non-O (she didn’t have work permit back then). Should I bring marriage certificate, contract and work permit?

Also is it true that we cannot do extension if there is more than 21 days left of visa? School employee wants to take us to immigration office next week with other teachers but we will still have 4 weeks of visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on what documentation is required to extend their Non-O visa as a spouse of a foreign teacher in Thailand. They have previously provided their marriage certificate and their wife's employment details when applying for their visas. They inquire if they need to bring the marriage certificate again along with their wife's work permit for the extension. Additionally, they express concern about the timing of the visa extension application, wanting clarity on the rule regarding the number of days left on a visa before applying.

Most offices let you apply for extensions of stays when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp. So going next week should be fine.

Your HR or school administrator should know the documentation you need to give the immigration office to get an extension based on being married to someone who legally works here.

I would have the school HR get ahold of the immigration office and get a hand out of the exactly what documentation is required. That way you don't get there and not have something.

sorry I answer so late, I saw notification on the app and forgot about it. In this post you can find what we had when going to Vientiane:

thanks a lot! Unfortunately school administrator doesn't know that, I'll just take the documents mentioned in my post and will see if it's okay.
