I have a Multi Non immigrant 'O' based on marriage to a Thai obtained in Savannakhet.

Instead of a bounce to the border I'm thinking I may go to my local immigration and extend for a further 60 days..does anyone know what documents are required to do this. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on the documents required to extend their Non-O visa based on marriage at a local immigration office in Thailand. Responses indicate that requirements may vary by immigration office, but generally include a passport, marriage certificate, wife's ID, house registration documents, two passport photos, and a fee of 1,900 baht. It is noted that some offices allow for extensions every entry, while others may restrict it to once per visa.

@Phil *****
so u can't go local immigration every 60 days but only every 90 outside Thailand but once 15 months is up then get the 60 at immigration?
Andrew ******
@Tod ********
that's what I do anyway to keep things simple just bounce out then in every 90 days but like I said I don't mind doing that, although many complain about it

, SOME immigration offices will let you get the 60 day visit family extension on every 90 day ENTRY of the Non-O, but some will only let you get it once PER Non-O visa. <- meaning one time off any of the entries you make on it.

It's the reason I tell people to just bounce every 90 days and save the 60 day visit thai family for the last entry you make from the visa where you get the final 90 day stamp taking you to 15 months of stay. That way the 60 day visit family extension lets you stay for 17 months off that year long Non-O visa.

I'm sure that is true.

Yes , you can extend. Some immigration offices will do it on every entry, some will only do it once. I would go and ask.

You would need your passport, copy marriage cert, copy wifes i.d card, copy house book registration of your wife,(if applicable also a copy of condo/house lease, your landlords i.d copy, landlords house book registration where your staying.

2passport photos and 1900 baht

Thanks James I think maybe I will take the same pack of copies and documents I took to Savannaket then everything should be covered. Thanks again.

Don't think u can go to your local immigration office as with the non o based on marriage u must leave Thailand every 90 days. This is the only condition to this visa but for me I just go to maisai and back into Thailand every 90 days

@Phil *****
i get your point now, you mean once your non o has nearly expired the 15 months then go to local immigration and get another 60 days? but you can get 19 months out of it by doing 2 30 day runs after the 17 months, but i just go to savannaket every 15 months to save all that business. I thought you meant going to local immigration every 60 days instead of leaving Thailand every 90 lol

As with every entry into Thailand, if you meet the requirements you can visit your local Immigration Office and apply for an Extension of Stay.
Phil ******
Which means you can actually get 17 months out of a multi entry based on marriage.
Andrew ******
I just go to maisai every 90 days but I don't mind really
Phil ******
@Andrew *****
correct.

@Phil *****
and that's 1900 baht?

@Andrew *****
I'm 99 % sure you can go local immigration and extend for 60 days at the end of any 90 days.

i can type a long list, but if could be different as you may not use the same immigration office. As there are over 70 of them, the best option to be sure is to visit or call them and ask their latest requirements.
