Hi everybody,

I have a Work Permit in combination with a Marriage Non O visa.

Next year in March my Work Permit and Visa will expire.

I would like to cancel my work permit but like to get another extension of my Non O Visa.

What documents I need? Do I have to go through the whole process for the Non O Visa, like getting an appointment at the immigration, showing pictures of me and my wife etc?

Do I need to show also 400k in my bank or proof of income letter from abroad? My visa expires in March. How many weeks do they need for the extension?

Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your Non O Visa based on marriage to a Thai national, you will need to provide proof of funds (either 400,000 THB in the bank for 2 months prior to the application or a certified monthly income of 40,000 THB from abroad). Additionally, the application will require photos of you and your wife, copies of identification (yours and hers), your marriage certificate, a map to your residence, and a completed Kor Ror 2 form from the local amphur. The application can be submitted within 30 days of the visa's expiration and typically takes 30 days for processing before granting an extension.

If you like to apply for an Extension of Stay based on marriage with a Thai National, every year to provide proof of minimum 400.000 Thb 2 months prior application date in the bank OR minimum 40.000 Thb monlhly income from abroad certified by your Embassy, pictures of wife and you in front of house with house nr, inside house, copy wedding certificate, copy kor ror 2 (from Amphur that marriage is still registrated), map to the house, copies your passport, her id and house book. You can do this 30 days prior till last day of admitted to stay and application will go 30 days under consideration and than you get the remaining 11 months of the 1 year Extension of Stay stamped in your passport.
