TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, holding a NON-O visa due to marriage to a Thai citizen, seeks advice on whether their wife needs to accompany them to the immigration office when applying for a 60-day extension. Community members provide insights, indicating that a one-year extension is typically available and that the spouse is often required to be present during the application process. Some comments suggest alternative options like a border run or discuss experiences related to similar situations.

Tried it with my wife, didn't get it, so did a border bounce for 45 days. (+30 extension possible)
Andrew ********
Or just do a border run and you come back with another 90 days.

See if you can get a re-entry permit at immigration. I have friends who do that but cannot be sure it is a non-o (I think it is).
Graham ******
@Bonnie ********
re-entry is pointless with an expiring single entry visa

@Thailand *******
I just got mine but from previous experience I got the multiple entry version.

Whenever you get an extension based on a person, you usually need that person to be with you.

Hi thanks for taking the time too answer

That looks like exactly what lam going to apply for . Could you tell me where you copied that information from please
Brandon ************
@Thailand *******
it's general information, you need to ask your local immigration office what their requirements are since each makes their own guidelines. The information there is just what many require but they might ask for more.

Iam pretty sure they will give me a 60 day extension, it is just that my wife would need to be in nongkhai around the time my original 90 days expires,. Do you know how many days prior to the expiry date , l can apply for the 60 days ?
Brandon ************
@Thailand *******
up to 30 days early at most offices

There is no 60 day extension on a type O visa based on Thai wife on the 90 day visa. There is only a one year extension.
