Hello all - Visa question:

My mum has a non-o family visa which she needs to extend on 8th april.

(I am thai so it is NOT a spousal visa) does anyone know:

Does she need original tabien baan/my birth certificate/thai id card/proof of address etc (or is copy enough?)

Do I need to be present with her at the immigration office?

Any other important things she should know/do

Is CM office better/worse than other places?

TIA!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the requirements for extending a Non-O family visa for the user's mother. Key questions include whether originals or copies of documents like the tabien baan, birth certificate, and Thai ID card are necessary, if the user must be present at the immigration office, and whether it’s better to go to the CM office for the extension process.

oh well, the easy way or the hard way. Some people prefer the hard way. Have fun, make sure you have time enough left on your Admitted to Stay.

Did you already found out if it really is the Non Immigrant O visa or is it a Tourist Visa?

I was first in at 8.30 but they sent me away twice to get different things, so it was about 11 a.m. when I finally got my stamp.

I did this on Thursday. Went day before to find out what they required. Took what they told me next day but a different person dealt with me and told me different requirements and sent me away to get them.😡

You apply at the Immigration Office where you and you mom are living and has the address registered.

The best way to be prepared is visit the office show the passport, explain what you want and ask for the hand out with requirements. Make the copies, tick the list and go back to apply.
