Hi all, I’m currently married to a thai national and have completed the first couple of phases of the non o as this is the first visa of this type I have applied for. I now need to return within the last 45 days and I need to complete the below.

3 - go back and apply for a year extension (1900 baht)

However I can’t find the information required I need to submit and which TM form I need to fill in as I don’t know what this step is called. Any ideas please? It’s not through lack of trying to find the information lol. Thanks very much 🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on applying for a year extension of their non-O visa as they are married to a Thai national. They need information on the specific TM form and documents required for the extension process. Comments suggest visiting the local immigration office for a list of required documents, noting that procedures can vary by location. Essential forms and documents may include TM.7, passport, TM.6, spouse's ID, birth certificates, housing maps, and financial statements.

This guy posted the docs required for BKK.

I’m not sure if that’s for the extension of stay or for the non o. Admin will certainly clarify.

this is for an extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai wife. What he did was got a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family, and then he used that to get a one year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai wife.

yes exactly the same really, I had a 60 day visit visa to take me off amnesty, then a 90 non o, and now need to change it to the 12 month version. :)

and I see your reluctance to slog out to Chaengwattana with your thai wife, actually get the hand out AND have her ask if there's anything NOT on the hand out that you need as well, possibly causing you a problem. While I understand the not wanting to go do it, this IS your yearly extension of stay and being able to pull it off in one visit might be worth it, as opposed to showing up, needing more documentation, going to get that, trying again, etc.

Good Luck with it.

We're done, take care

I’ve edited the post.

Don’t take that as gospel. Ask admin of that’s the correct list👍🏻

you need to understand that you are doing two completely different processes that each need their own documentation (and their own form too) When you applied for the in country Non-O 90 day visa I would bet you did not use a TM7 (application for extension form) which is what you use now that you have your Non-O visa and want to extend it for a year based on marriage

I would say take your thai wife and go back to the immigration office you use to get the hand out listing the exact requirements as far as documentation, copies, photos, maps, etc that you need otherwise you're just taking a stab in the dark and you're gonna make a few trips there trying to pull off getting the extension (and you'll get more frustrated each trip there).

Yes my wife has tried to call them a number of times (BKK) but just kept on hold so without us both having time off to go up there thought we would ask here. :)

, post on a bangkok related f/b page then and ask maybe someone has the hand out and will share it.

The form in question is as Piet de Keizer has mentioned, however you will require further documents. Many immigration offices differ in their requirements and you will have to visit your local immigration office. You can roughly expect the following:

(you may require copies of all listed below).

* TM.7.

* Your passport.

* Your TM.6.

* Your children(s) birth certificates, if applicable

* Your spouses ID card.

* Your spouses Tabian Baan page.

* A Google map print out with directions to your house.

* A hand drawn map with directions to your house.

* Pictures of you and your wife at your house.

* Your bankbook, and a recent statement showing 400k or I believe MINIMUM (not average) 40k thb per month.

Exactly the same docs as the last time then lol, I was confused as why I would submit the same things along with the same form. Hence my confusion!!! Thanks

....same list every year . Maybe just change the photos.

Have you visited your local immigration office and asked for the list of requirements. At least when I first did it that’s what I did. Each immigration office is somewhat different fro what I understand
