TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a Thai marriage certificate, you generally need several documents, including:
1. A letter from your embassy confirming your freedom to marry.
2. Copies of both partners' passports.
3. The Thai ID card of your spouse-to-be.
4. All documents must be translated into Thai and certified.
5. Some may need proof of being unmarried or divorced, including police clearance letters or other relevant legal documents.
The registration typically takes place at an Amphur (city hall), and assistance can be found in places like the Trendy Building in Bangkok. It's important to note that requirements may vary based on nationality.
.... I think same sex can legally marry now. not 100% but have gay friend talking it up all excited because his bf from Malaysia where being gay is crime or close. if you do not "need" the drop to 400k just do no paperwork village marriage so if it ends you can just leave come back Pattaya broke like I did. 75% 2nd marriages end divorce in USA. Another thing is they (the police) constantly come to your house make sure "your together" my buddy says he would have done village "no papers" if he knew he was under a microscope. If he was at Lotus they wanted to know why?

this is all you need. I have been married 16 years. This is what I do every year. It’s really easy. But it will take 28 days to process. The visa costs 1900 THB and the multiple entry will cost 3800 THB

First off find someone to marry....preferably a female. Same sex marriages are not recognized in Thailand. You may find a female woman in soi Cowboy, nana plaza or Patpong soi one or two. Then of course there’s Pattaya walking street or Soi 6 in Pattaya. Once you’ve found a female woman, give her you ATM card and PIN number and you’re set. She’ll do the rest....that is until your bank account dries up. Good luck and welcome to Thailand😂😂🤣🤣
Usually a letter from your embassy saying you are not currently married. Passport copies, wife to be id card etc. Everything translated into Thai. Visit to amphur to get everything registered and legalised. If you go into Trendy building in Bangkok you could get someone to help you get it sorted probably cost you 12-
