TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the experiences and perceptions of obtaining a Thai visa from the consulate in Seoul. Users share that the consulate is known for being straightforward as long as all requirements are met, which includes proof of onward travel, accommodations, and sufficient funds (20,000 Thai baht or equivalent). Some users mention hearsay about restrictions based on previous visits to Thailand and suggest that other consulates in Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi might be easier options for visa applications.

Note that if asked by Thai Immigration upon arrival that they are in fact asking to show 20,000 Thai baht CASH or equivalent. Not the 10,000 noted on the South Korean website of requirements.

the 10K baht listed on the website is what you need to show the consulate as far as proof of funds to get the visa issued.

There was a post on the inter-web from a few years ago that said IF you'd recently been to thailand they wouldn't issue a tourist visa to you from the thai consulate in Seoul. Now I don't know if that's still the case, BUT I'd say the thai consulates in Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi would be a better choice. There are reports of people with several visas in their passports who got them from there no problem.

They are known as a no nonsense consulate. Meet all the requirements and you shouldn't have a problem.

You will definitely need proof of onward travel within 60 - 90 days AND proof of accommodations too.

third consecutive ? And with extensions of prior SETV ? Look at Seoul website...if can meet requirements then OK.

However...note that you could be questioned by Thai Immigration upon arrival. Have 20,000 Thai baht or equivalent in CASH with you along with your initial booking address for your stay and confirmed ticket out of Thailand.
