Hi, I am looking to get a Thai tourist visa in Ho Chi Minh City next month (UK citizen) Does anyone have experience of this? I would like to know about their strictness on requirement such as ticket out of Thailand. Also just about how easy/mindfuckingly difficult it might be there? I am also open to using an agency if its possible and worth it. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion highlights the varying experiences of UK citizens applying for a Thai tourist visa in Ho Chi Minh City. Most commenters agree that a ticket out of Thailand is required, along with other details like flights into Thailand and, in some cases, a bank statement. Some found the process straightforward and without much hassle, while others recommend being prepared with all the specified documents as requirements can differ greatly.
I just went last week (theres a report in this group) they required flights in and out - my outward was within 60), bank statement and i used my lease to show accommodation. No dramas
They wanted all the details specified on the website when I went. Tickets, bank statement, the lot. Iโd have it all, just in case. This was about 12 weeks ago.
My turnover was 1 day, and that gave me time to buy a ticket out of Thailand! I decided to get a return ticket to HCMC as that was the cheapest and was able to cash it in before I left Vietnam.
Thats awesome! I have another question mate... sorry! I plan to get there in time to hand in before noon on a Wednesday, do you think it will be ready for pickup on Friday? Normally a 2 day turnaround right?
