Hi, My husband and I are planning to move to Bangkok next month. I’m Thai anyway and I have some queries. He just received his non-O immigration visa (Thai Wife/Spouse) from the Thai embassy. The visa grants a duration of 1 year instead of 90 days and comes with multiple entries.
Question: Is this considered a marriage visa? Do we still need to convert it to a marriage visa within 90 days when we’re in Thailand? Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Non-O Immigration Visa your husband received is indeed a marriage visa, however, it does not permit a continuous stay of one year in Thailand. Instead, it allows multiple entries with a 90-day stay per entry, and within the validity period, he can apply for a 60-day extension to visit Thai family, effectively reaching up to 150 days on one entry. It is advisable to consult with the local immigration office about the possibility of applying for a one-year extension based on marriage, as some offices may require the current visa to expire first before extending.

It is a “marriage” visa. Not many places will issue those one year ones theses days. It does mean he has to leave the country every 90 days to get a new stamp for the next 90 days.
On any entry you can convert to a one year extension of stay based on marriage if you meet the requirements to do so. Mainly the 400k in a Thai bank account in his name only.
If timings don’t work for a particular 90 day stay then most offices will allow a one off 60 day extension for a “visit family” extension. But most will only allow this for one entry only. Many use this option to get the full use of that particular visa by leaving and returning just before it expires and getting the “final” 90 days and then extending that for 60 days. Depends on your circumstances whether that would work for you.
The visa does not allow a 1 year stay in Thailand. It's a Multiple-Entry non-O visa which means he will receive 90 days each time he enters Thailand within the 1-year validity of the visa. One time during the life of this visa he can also apply for the 60-day visiting Thai family extension based on being married to a Thai. So that entry can be up to 150 days.
You would need to check with your immigration office in Thailand if they will allow you to apply for the 1-year extension while this visa is still valid. Some immigration offices may want to wait until the visa has expired before allowing the extension.
Can you advise what embassy you got this visa from? It's not offers in many places.
