TLDR : Answer Summary
The best option for staying in Thailand as a foreigner married to a Thai citizen is to apply for a year-long, multi-entry Non-Immigrant Type O visa based on marriage. This visa allows for unlimited entry, and each entry grants a 90-day stay, which can be extended by an additional 60 days at the immigration office for a fee. It's recommended to obtain this visa from Thai consulates in nearby countries like Laos or Vietnam, avoiding the need to show proof of funds. Alternatively, exiting and re-entering Thailand at any border can also refresh the 90-day stay.

your best and easiest option would be to go to the thai consulates in Savannakhet Lao or Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam and get a year-long, multi-entry Non-Immigrant Type O visa based on marriage to a thai. For this visa from those consulates you don't show proof of funds.

That visa is good for a year, it is unlimited entry, and every entry gets you stamped in for 90 days. If you want to stay longer, go to the immigration office and apply for the 60 day visit family extension for 1900baht OR simply go to a border, stamp out of thailand, in&out of another country and right back into thailand to get a NEW 90 day stamp. You do this for the whole year the visa is good for..

That's the easiest way to further your stay without a lot of hoop jumping
