I'm told that if I get 1-year multi-entry marriage visa in America when I come back to Thailand I don't have to go cross the border every 90 days anymore. I can just fill out a 90-day report. Anyone know is that true ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The claim that a 1-year multi-entry marriage visa would exempt one from border runs and only necessitate a 90-day report upon returning to Thailand is incorrect. Upon entry, a Non-O visa based on marriage typically allows for an initial 90-day stay, after which an extension can be applied for to reside in Thailand long-term, albeit still requiring 90-day reporting.

Time to close it down. The girl at Wallmart in the USA knows a lot about the sandwich ham and cheese but if it is on stock and the prices of it at the

And do we blame her for this? Thanks.

You get in trouble by asking an Immigration Officer in Thailand, the requirements for a visa from a Thai Consulate in the USA.

Two total different organizations.

@Robert ******
that was my experience. My 1st retirement extension was 2 totally different sets of requirements at the Houston Consulate and Jomtien Immigration.

You know you're in trouble when the new head lady has to look up the answer in her manual.

Yes, I think you guys are right. This information comes direct from Pai immigration office. Unfortunately they have new staff and 1 old foreign staff volunteer and I think they don't understand what I'm saying which makes things very confusing.

No, sounds like you're getting your wires crossed.

If you get a Non-O based on marriage while in America, the visa itself is good for 90 days. You will apply for a one year extension of stay, and once it's approved, you'd be able to stay inside Thailand and fill out the 90 day reports.

not true. You only get 90 days of stay when you enter Thailand.
