Little help needed regarding visa type, usually I fly in & out a few times a year so just easier for me to use the 60 day + 30 extension tourist visa

With restrictions and quarantine regulations I'm now going to apply for marriage visa but little unsure which one! Seems so many types, is it the Non-immigrant O ? Does this give me 12 months or do I need to report 90 days etc never had to use marriage visa before

Thanks in advance and hope someone like Tod Danial's will kindly point me in the right direction

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a marriage visa in Thailand, you will typically need to obtain a Non-Immigrant O visa if you are legally married to a Thai national. This visa permits a 90-day stay, after which you can apply for a one-year extension based on your marriage. For the extension, you must provide several documents, including your marriage certificate, proof of income or savings, and your wife's identification. You will also need to report your residence every 90 days.

Assuming you are legally married, you will get a single entry Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national. On this visa you can stay in Thailand for 90 days.

In the 90 days, you will go and apply for a one year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai national. You will need the following:

1. Your passport and a copy of:

- Your data ("picture") page

- Your Non-O visa

- Your entry stamp

- Your departure card

2. Your wife PHYSICALLY next to you, and

- Her ID card and a copy of her ID card

- Her housebook, and a copy of the first page

3. To meet the money requirements, which are:

- 400K THB in a Thai bank account, seasoned for 2 months OR;

- 40K THB in income OR;

- a letter from your embassy saying you make 40K THB a month

4. Marriage certificate (either the rose border certificate, OR a translated copy from your home country)

5. The application form

6. 2x passport pictures

7. 1,900 THB for the processing fee.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, and this may include:

- A copy of the TM30 filed where you live

- A hand drawn map to your house

- Pictures of you and your wife in various locations in the house (front of the house/ condo, in all rooms, etc)

- Witnesses or interviews with neighbors

- Rental contract (if renting property or a condo)

You will need to report every 90 days based on your immigration office's policy

At what point of the 90 day Non Imm O can I start the marriage extension process at Immigration?

@Brendon *****
depends on your local immigration office. Most immigration offices let you apply for a new 1-year extension when your current stamp remaining 30days or less. At some offices, it's 45 days or less. Currently 3days or less at Chaengwattna in Bangkok (45days or less in normal circumstances).

You're welcome. DO *NOT* get a one year multiple entry Non-O visa. You will have to leave the country every 90 days.
