1 year non-o marriage extension at Chaengwattana. How important are the blue book and chanote for the visa extension?

My wife and I moved to a different address (same condo, different room) last year and need to extend my non-o visa this month. The landlord (Thai) lives in the US, and does not have access to the blue book or chanote. She left it in her house in Thailand.

We have her ID copy. We talked to the condo office, they could provide a copy of the chanote; obviously the blue book would be missing. All other papers are in order.

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When extending a Non-O marriage visa in Thailand, the blue book (house registration) and chanote (land title deed) are important documents. However, if they're missing, you can present your lease and the TM30 registration as alternatives. If your landlord is unavailable to provide these documents, there's a risk of facing challenges during the visa extension process, but you may still have options for a temporary family extension.

did you or the landlord file a TM30 showing you are registered as staying there?

All you can do is take the lease, the TM30 and hope for the best really. Worst case you get denied but can get a 60 day visit thai family extension and have 2 months to sort it out

that helps because it's the new address too ๐Ÿ™‚

then their i/d your lease and the TM30 should be enough

have you filed a 90 day report using that new address as well?
