TLDR : Answer Summary
To register for your TM30 and secure your visa extension while living in a property owned by your wife, you do not need a lease or a yellow house book. Instead, have your wife create an account on the TM30 system, where she can register you as a foreign resident. The essential documents you will need include a copy of your wife's Thai ID and the blue house book for the address. Once you've completed the registration, obtain the confirmation receipt for your visa extension.

your wife is the housemaster, so its her responsibility to record you on a tm30, she needs the blue house book

This is EXACTLY my situation (except I've moved in already). Thank you Todd and Ellie, saved me asking the same question 😅

okay people let's keep it on topic, To get his visa extension, the O/P does NOT need a lease if he's staying at a property owned by his wife, he does not need a yellow house book, OR the snazzy pink i/d card for foreigners either.

He needs to get registered as a foreigner in residence in the TM30 system (that his wife can sign up for at the website Ellie provided) and most likely all he'd need to get an extension would be his wife's thai I/D copy and the blue house book of the address where he's staying.

Let's not make this any harder than it has to be for him

have your wife make a log in on the TM30 system, register you and print the confirmation. That's the first step (y)

Have your wife register an account on the TM30 system. Then report you there to get a receipt from the system.
