How can I switch from an Amnesty visa to a Married visa in Thailand?

Okay, whether you can go from a covid extension on a cancelled Non-B extension to yearly extension based on marriage to a thai is totally going to be up to the immigration office you deal with .

SO that means, take your thai husband, your marriage license, your passport and slog on out to your immigration office and see what's what.

There is a good chance they won't let you go straight to a year marriage extension and instead have to apply for a new in country 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage FIRST then after you get that get the marriage extension.

BUT

The only people who are going to be able to tell you with 100% accuracy is the immigration office you deal with

The amnesty extension was over long ago, you are likely on an unable to travel due to Covid extension.

I would recommend as step 1 you go to the local Thai Immigration Office and ask for a list of the documentation you'll need to submit with your visa application when you have a Thai husband ...

As an example you could look at my recent post on what I submitted at the Chiang Mai office for my 'Thai Wife' visa ... the required documentation is not the same for a 'Thai Husband' and varies office-to-office ...

You should be able to go from an 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 to a one year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai national. Different immigration offices will ask for different documents, but all immigration offices will require the following:

1. Your passport and a copy of:

- Your data ("picture") page

- Your Non-B visa

- Your entry stamp

- Your departure card

2. Your husband PHYSICALLY next to you, and

- His ID card and a copy of her ID card

- His housebook, and a copy of the first page

3. Marriage certificate (either the rose border certificate, OR a translated copy from your home country)

4. The application form

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB for the processing fee.

There is *NO* financial requirements for a one year extension based on marriage to a Thai male.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, and this may include:

- A copy of the TM30 filed where you live

- A hand drawn map to your house

- Pictures of you and your wife in various locations in the house (front of the house/ condo, in all rooms, etc)

- Witnesses or interviews with neighbors

- Rental contract (if renting property or a condo)
