How can I convert my amnesty status to a NON-O visa based on marriage in Thailand?

I am here on a 6-month tourist visa that expired mid-June, I entered Thailand mid-Marts and should have left mid-May (as stamped in my passport) and then return before 18 of May when my 6-month visa expired to get my last 2 month of stay until approx 18 of July, however as I was not able to leave the country because of C19 I am now on the amnesty visa. I then got married and have all needed paperwork including the 400K in my bank account for the last 2 month. When I as immigration 4 weeks ago it was not possible to changes to 2-3 month NON-O and then later exchanges to one-year NON-O based om marriages I was told. Do anybody know or have success to get a NON-O or do you know if the circumstances will changes after the 31/7 when going on the second amnesty (or whatever its called now) so it will be possible to get the NON-O for 60 or 90 days and then convert to NON-O one year visa based om marriage?

I know it can be done but looking for a normal solution where normal fees are paid and not any special case solution. :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on an amnesty visa after overstaying a tourist visa due to COVID-19 and seeks to transition to a NON-O visa based on marriage. They have the necessary paperwork but were informed that converting from the amnesty to a NON-O visa was not possible. However, comments suggest that obtaining a 60-day extension of stay based on visiting family may be a viable first step to eventually apply for the NON-O visa.

Yes the funds came from my account to my account from abroad in my name. The year extention is in my opinion piece of cake, the tricky part is to get back on real visa from amasty when you are on a experied visa. So getting the 60 or 90 days non-o is my concern and what immigration is not so keen to hand out. ๐Ÿ˜ท

go for the 60 day visit thai family extension FIRST and if you get that then apply for the 90 day non-O off it

brings up a good point. to apply for the 90 day Non-O visa using banked money you need prove the 400K baht came into a thai bank account in your name only from abroad. you DON'T need to have it seasoned any length of time.

The 2 month seasoning comes into place when you apply for the year extension AFTER you've been granted the 90 day Non-O and run it down until you have 30 days or less left on that stamp.

Did you transfer your 400k in from outside of the country? for the NON O...?

people HAVE gotten the 60 day visit thai family extension from a tourist visa entry on amnesty THEN applied for the in country 90 day Non-O visa.

It can be done that way because once you get the 60 day extension you're back on 'hard stamp' (real time) in your passport and can apply for the in country Non-O and then wait out the under consideration period.

GO to your immigration office (with your thai wife and your documents) and see if you can't apply for that 60 day extension.

with over 70 Immigration offices, all with minor changes in applications it does not help you if people do inform you about offices other then the office where you should apply and that is the one where your address is registered

You can only convert a Tourist Visa into a Non Immigrant Visa if you have a valid stay of minimum 15 (some offices 21) days left,

As you have a expired visa and no valid stay there is no option to convert to a visa inside Thailand,

You might try the option to apply for a 60 day Extension of Stay based on visit the family, which this you have a valid stay again and then apply for the conversion to a Non Immigrant O visa, but you have to discuss this with your Immigration Office
