I’m current on amnesty, I’m married to a thai for a few years, currently I am translating my marriage certificate with my embassy. Question is would I be able to covert to a marriage visa while on amnesty?
Your advise is greatly appreciated..
UPDATE: I just visited CW office, they mentioned that spouse needs to go along with me to get 60 days extension. Once it’s done... I can apply for Non O visa for 3 months and they do not accept income from Thailand. 400K is a must in the bank account.
After that I can apply for 1 year NON O visa.
Visiting extension visa apply at Muang Thon Thani only. Don’t come to CW office

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is currently on amnesty and is married to a Thai citizen. They are in the process of translating their marriage certificate and are seeking advice on converting to a marriage visa while under amnesty. It's noted that a spouse must accompany them to obtain a 60-day extension. After securing this extension, they can apply for a 3-month NON-O visa, which requires a deposit of 400,000 Thai baht in a Thai bank account. The option to apply for a 1-year NON-O visa is also mentioned after the 3-month visa.

I do not understand why my comment was deleted, if I say it is not possible in Pattaya and Sriracha it is because they did not grant me and I am in the same situation.
So why delete my comment? Because it discredits yours?
You know that every office works differently and that it also depends on the officer.
and I think you should have said you wanted to file a written appeal of denial at the immigration office that wouldn't let you get the 60 day visit thai family extension. Doing that means it automatically has to be sent to the Immigration headquarters
Justin Sirias Chan if you make that income in Thailand you only need the last three months of tax and sso payments from you and the Thai staff needed to get the work permit,
Yes, that is one of my plan.. I just got the marriage certification today, it is in the process of getting translated... Once this is done, I will go over to the immigration office and see what i can do about it. I'll update my progress here for the benefit of others in the same situation as me.
In August apply for an extension of 60 days for Family Visit.
From now til end of the family visit extension deposit 400,000 Thai baht into a Thai bank account in your name for two months...then apply for a one year Extension of Stay Married to a Thai.
seeing that Justin is neither English nor US, maybe his embassy is issueing a legalized proof of YEARLY income letter, which he can use as financial proof when applying for the Extension of Stay. He should ask his Embassy
I am having an income for more than 40K a month for the past few years, under my personal name. I paid thai income taxes yearly base on 40K monthly salary. My embassy does not help anything at all trust me. I’m a Singaporean... they just ask you to fly back.
So Justin would theoretically be able to stretch his admitted stay until November 26th in case he needed to collect 12 months proof of income or deposit 400,000 THB in his bank account for two months, before applying for the 1-year Extension of Stay based on marriage
If you can prove your marriage to a Thai, you can apply for the 60 days extension based on visiting family once every calendar year. Justin's 60 days would start on September 27
thanks I will collect my translation for marriage cert tomorrow. I will go ministry of foreign affair tomorrow too. Then I think I’m good to go with extension
and if you can obtain a bank letter showing 40,000 Thai baht monthly deposited into your own bank account for 12 consecutive months you will meet the requirement.
